Holding Space plant elixir blend
Archeus plant essences & elixirs are made with plants growing organically in our garden and surrounding area. We handpick the plant material for these essences and make them using a traditional quartz-infused sun method.
Positive attribute: finding moments of stillness after a bereavement and knowing nature is helping your heart
Negative indication: feeling in pieces, inability to cope with real life, broken-hearted
In moments of grief or loss we need to find a quiet space to gather ourselves. This Elixir Blend can’t take the cause of your grief away but it can help hold you in sacred space. It conjures stillness. Oak is a remedy for those who try to remain strong for others yet, even at their own cost. Violet is a traditional herb for women, for mothering and is a symbolic plant of a child’s death. Motherwort helps you become lion-hearted. Kowhai is a beautiful essence for transitions; for endings and beginnings. Hawthorn is a traditional heart remedy. In times of grief we can feel as if our heart is literally breaking and we can struggle to find stillness, a pause between breaths. The thought that Nature can offer us care and protection can provide comfort at a difficult time.
This Elixir Blend [formally known as Intense Grief] contains the following plant essences: Oak (Quercus alba), Violet (Viola odorata), Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca), Kowhai (Sophora microphylla), Hawthorn no.3 ‘The Hurting’ (Crateagus monogyna), Aqua, Grape alcohol.
Place 2-3 drops on the tongue or add to a glass of water. Repeat 3-4 times daily or as required.
Another beautiful way to use this elixir is to put a drop on your finger and anoint pulse points and chakras - especially lovely prior to meditation, massage, yoga or a walk in nature.
To remove the small amount of alcohol that is used to preserve the essence, simply add the drops to very hot water and the alcohol will evaporate.
